About Prudential Center
Prudential Center opened in downtown Newark in October 2007 and is home to the Devils, to Seton Hall's men's basketball team and to the PWHL's New York Sirens. Despite being one of the smaller arenas in the NHL, it ranks among the busiest concert venues in the world, and in most months the touring calendar outnumbers the hockey one. The exterior, by Morris Adjmi, is clad in patterned brick and metal that references Newark's industrial architecture rather than the glass curtain wall typical of arenas of its generation. Seating runs from the lower bowl through club and suite levels to the upper bowl, and the compact footprint keeps the upper deck closer to the ice than at most NHL buildings. Newark Penn Station is a short walk away and is served by NJ Transit, PATH, Amtrak and the Newark Light Rail, which makes the arena straightforward to reach from Manhattan without driving.
