The downtown Phoenix arena that opened in 1992 as America West Arena has changed names more than almost any building in the NBA: US Airways Center, Talking Stick Resort Arena, Phoenix Suns Arena, Footprint Center, PHX Arena, and since October 2025 the Mortgage Matchup Center, under a naming agreement with United Wholesale Mortgage. Tickets and listings still surface under several of those names, so it is worth searching the older ones too. The Suns and the Mercury both play here, and a renovation completed in 2020 substantially rebuilt the concourses, entrances and seating areas of what had become one of the league's older arenas. Seating runs from the lower bowl through club and suite levels to the upper bowl. The arena sits in the middle of downtown Phoenix within walking distance of Chase Field, and Valley Metro light rail stops a block away on Jefferson and Washington streets.
