About CEFCU Stadium
CEFCU Stadium seats 18,265 for San Jose State Spartans games, reduced from a pre-2019 capacity of 30,456 after an east-side renovation. It opened in 1933 as Spartan Stadium and was renamed in 2016 under a 15-year, $8.7 million naming-rights deal with CEFCU. The stadium also hosted matches at the 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup and was home to MLS’s San Jose Earthquakes and Clash from 1996 to 2005.
