University Stadium seats 37,440 for University of New Mexico Lobos football, an unusual venue built in an arroyo where the seating bowl was formed by piling excavated fill into earthen embankments rather than conventional bowl construction. Grandstands run along the east and west sidelines, with the press box above the west side, and stands added beyond the north end zone in 2001 carry the LoboVision video screen. The L.F. "Tow" Diehm Athletic Facility sits just beyond the open south end. The stadium reverted to its original name in 2020 after a naming-rights deal lapsed, and Section 26 is the designated student section.
