About Target Center
Target Center opened on First Avenue North in downtown Minneapolis in October 1990 and is home to the Timberwolves and the Lynx. It is owned by the City of Minneapolis rather than by either team, and a major renovation during the 2010s rebuilt the main entrance and concourses and tied the building more directly into the surrounding downtown. Its most practical feature in a Minnesota winter is the skyway: Target Center connects to the city's enclosed second-level walkway network, so you can reach it from a parking ramp or a nearby hotel without going outside - which matters for a building that hosts events through January and February. Seating runs from the lower bowl through suite and club levels to the upper bowl. Sideline seats give the most complete view of play; baseline and corner seats trade that angle for being closer to the basket. Metro Transit light rail and bus routes stop within a couple of blocks.
