About Memorial Stadium
Memorial Stadium, known as Death Valley and centered on Frank Howard Field, seats 81,500 for Clemson Tigers games on a hill overlooking Lake Hartwell, with room for more than 86,000 including standing areas. The South and North Upper Decks, added in 1978 and 1983, sit above the original lower bowl. The WestZone project, finished in 2015, added the Masters Club, luxury suites and a four-level football museum, and an EastZone renovation completed in 2022 added club seating and a new video board above the east end. TicketScan lists Memorial Stadium onsales and presale windows.
Memorial Stadium Ticket FAQs
Why is Clemson's Memorial Stadium called Death Valley?
The nickname predates the current stadium and has stuck through the venue's expansions; the field itself is named Frank Howard Field for the coach who built the program.
