About L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium
L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium seats 60,800 for Louisville Cardinals games on the south end of campus. It opened in 1998 at 42,000 seats, expanded to 55,000 in 2010, and reached its current size in a 2019 project that closed the open end of its horseshoe and added 10 field-level suites, 65 club boxes and 1,000 club seats. The Brown and Williamson Club sits behind the press box on the west side, mirrored by the 100-yard PNC Club on the east, and the Norton Healthcare Terrace holds 2,500 standing fans in the south end. Yes. The building opened in 1998 as Papa John's Cardinal Stadium, dropped the Papa John's name to become Cardinal Stadium in 2018, and was renamed L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium in January 2023. Capacity has held at 60,800 since the 2019 expansion.
