About Kauffman Stadium
Kauffman Stadium opened in 1973 as Royals Stadium and took the name of Royals founder Ewing Kauffman in 1993. Its best-known feature is the 322-foot-wide water spectacular that runs from left-center to right-center. A 2007-2009 renovation added a 360-degree concourse, the Outfield Experience and the Royals Hall of Fame. For 2026 the Royals moved the outfield fences in and lowered the wall to 8 1/2 feet. The CommunityAmerica Crown Club (sections 1-6) and the UMB Diamond Club (126-130) are behind home plate. The Fountain Seats (201-203) put you right beside the water. The View Level, sections 401-439, has the lowest prices. TicketScan tracks when tickets for Kauffman Stadium events go on sale, including presale windows that open before the public onsale.
Kauffman Stadium Ticket FAQs
Will I get wet in the Fountain Seats at Kauffman Stadium?
You might. The Fountain Seats (sections 201-203) and the Fountain Deck sit right behind the outfield fountains, and on a windy day the spray can reach them. You cannot enter the fountains.
What is the capacity of Kauffman Stadium in 2026?
The Royals' ballpark history page lists 37,903, which is the figure we use. For 2026 the fences were moved in and about 150 seats were added in left field and 80 drink-rail seats in right, so Wikipedia now shows 38,053.
