About Gate City Bank Field at the Fargodome
Gate City Bank Field at the Fargodome has hosted North Dakota State Bison football since December 1992, an indoor multipurpose dome that seats 18,700 for football on artificial turf replaced most recently in July 2022. The dome's flexible design lets it reconfigure for concerts up to a 26,700-capacity center-stage layout, but the football bowl stays fixed with lower and upper seating on both sidelines plus club and suite levels. Voters twice rejected a proposed $131-140 million expansion and renovation, in 2023 and 2024, so the dome remains in its original configuration on the NDSU campus in Fargo.
